The BP-232H is the high-capacity lithium-ion pack for the ICOM IC-F3161 and IC-F4161 series. ICOM rates it at 2300 mAh typical and approximately 14 hours of operating time at 5 watts, measured on the industry-standard 5-5-90 duty cycle with the power save function on. That is a full shift plus margin, which is the difference between a radio that lasts the day and one that needs a swap at lunch. Charge times vary by charger: about 10 hours on the BC-147S, about 3 hours on the BC-123S rapid charger, and about 3.5 hours for up to six packs at once in the BC-197 multi-charger.
