The FASC57VS is a stubby VHF antenna covering 160 to 174 MHz with a J-type connector. A stubby trades a little range for a radio that sits closer to the body and catches less on door frames, vehicle seats and equipment, which is why they are common on housekeeping, front-of-house and warehouse handhelds. Check the band before ordering: this antenna covers the upper part of the VHF range only, and the matching UHF stubby is the FASC73US at 450 to 470 MHz.
