At 3.9 ounces the PKT-23 sits in a shirt pocket instead of on a belt, which is why it turns up in restaurants, retail floors and front-of-house teams where a full-size radio reads as heavy-handed. It runs 1.5 watts across 4 channels on 451 to 470 MHz UHF, gives up to 15 hours per charge, and meets MIL-STD-810 C, D, E, F and G across eleven test items plus IP54 for dust and water. Each radio charges over its standard micro USB port or in the supplied cup, so a set can be topped up from ordinary phone chargers when the cups are in use.
