Motorola HKLN4599 D Style Earpiece PTT Microphone

The HKLN4599 is Motorola's earpiece with an in-line push-to-talk and microphone. The RM Series user guide lists it as an earpiece with PTT and mic on a slim plug, and specifies it as PVC free.

PVC free is worth pausing on. It is not marketing: some workplaces, food handling and healthcare among them, have procurement rules about what plastics are allowed near product or patients, and an accessory that fails those rules is one nobody can issue. Motorola states the material property on the part, so it can be checked rather than assumed.

The in-line push-to-talk keeps the radio holstered through a transmission, and the earpiece keeps the conversation off the shop floor. Motorola also lists the HKLN4601 dual pin surveillance version and the HKLN4604 swivel earpiece in the same accessory table, both also PVC free.
