Motorola PMNN4578 Lithium-Ion Replacement Battery for DTR600 and DTR700

The PMNN4578 is the Lithium-Ion battery for Motorola's DTR series. Motorola's DTR Series flyer lists it in the batteries, chargers and cables table as a 2500 mAh, 3.7 V Li-ion pack, and the figure is corroborated in a second Motorola document: the TLK-110 data sheet, for a radio that uses the same part, gives battery capacity as 3.7 V nominal 2500 mAh with PMNN4578.

What that capacity buys on a DTR is published too. Motorola's DTR700 spec sheet gives a typical battery life of 16.5 hours on a 5/5/90 profile at maximum transmit power, with the note that observed runtimes vary.

Batteries decline gradually rather than failing outright, so a fleet usually blames the radios first. A replacement pack restores a radio that has stopped finishing its shift, and it costs a fraction of the radio. Motorola's standing guidance applies: its batteries are designed specifically to be used with a Motorola Solutions charger and the reverse, and charging in other equipment risks the pack and its warranty.
