The RLN6308 is the larger of the two Lithium-Ion batteries Motorola lists for the RDx Series. The RDx user guide lists it in the batteries table as the Ultra High Capacity Lithium-Ion battery, against the RLN6351 standard pack in the same table.
Capacity is the only lever available on run time once a radio is chosen, so the high-capacity pack is the answer for double shifts, long site days and any radio that keeps arriving at the end of the day flat. Motorola notes in the same guide that battery life depends on several factors, among the more critical being regular overcharging and the average depth of discharge, and that a battery averaging only 25 per cent discharge lasts longer still.
Two handling points from Motorola that are worth following. Its batteries are designed specifically to be used with a Motorola Solutions charger and the reverse, and charging in non-Motorola equipment may damage the battery and void its warranty. And charging a cold battery, below 50 F (10 C), may cause electrolyte leakage and eventual battery failure, so a pack brought in from a vehicle in winter should be allowed to warm up before it goes on charge.
