Endless Communications TH-288 LTE Push-to-Talk Portable Radio
The Endless Communications TH-288 is a push-to-talk radio that works over the cellular network rather than over VHF or UHF. Range follows carrier coverage instead of line of sight, so a team spread across a city stays on one channel with no repeater and no licence to hold. A 0.96 inch display at 128 by 64 pixels keeps the menu simple, built-in GPS reports position back to a dispatcher, and a dedicated alarm button raises an emergency call. Group calling, private calling, friend calling and dispatcher messaging are all supported. The body measures 127 x 60 x 35 mm and weighs 181 g, with a 3.7 V 4,000 mAh battery. Supplied with a belt clip and with a charger and power cord, in blue on black or grey on black.
Endless also provides web-based tracking and dispatch software that locates every unit nationwide, records transmissions for later review, raises geofence and excessive-speed alerts, and lets a supervisor talk to the fleet from a desktop, with training and support included. Who it is for
The TH-288 is an Endless Communications handheld for teams that need to talk across a town, a region or the country without building a radio system of their own. Endless Communications describes push to talk over cellular as working like a walkie-talkie while using 4G LTE cellular data on existing cell phone towers, for nationwide coverage around the corner or across the country. A user can call the entire team, a sub-group or one team member, and Endless lists SOS alerts and secure, encrypted calls.
Licence
Using the TH-288 through its cellular data service does not require the customer to obtain an FCC Part 90 private land mobile radio licence. A compatible data and push-to-talk service is required, and CMI confirms the carrier options with you when you order.
Part number
CMI part number: TH-288. For the other Endless handheld see the Endless TH-682; for an in-vehicle unit see the Endless TM-990 mobile; see CMI's LTE and push to talk over cellular radios.
