Kenwood KHS-27 D-Ring Over Ear Hanger w/ PTT and Mic

The KHS-27A is a D-ring ear hanger with push-to-talk and microphone, listed by that description in Kenwood's accessory chart.

The D-ring is the part that decides whether people wear it. The ring hooks over the ear and holds the earpiece in place without sealing the canal, so the wearer keeps ambient hearing and the earpiece does not need a tip sized to them. On a pooled fleet that matters more than audio quality, because a hanger fits more heads than a moulded tip does.

The KHS-31C in the same chart is the C-ring version, a different ear geometry for the same job. Where the radio should be less visible again, the KHS-8BL palm microphone is the surveillance-style option.
