This is Kenwood's ProTalk analog portable in the UHF band at 2 W, carrying 64 channels.

Power is the whole decision inside this family. Kenwood's own catalog puts it plainly: the 2 W models are a valuable investment for reliable on-site communication, while the 5 W models provide enhanced coverage for more demanding environments. Actual range depends on terrain, construction and conditions. The NX-P1300AUK is the other half of that pair in this band.

Kenwood specifies a 2,000 mAh pack with a three hour charge and a weight of 9.88 oz, and positions the range for retail, hospitality and venue work. Band cannot be changed after purchase and a UHF radio will not talk to one on the other band, so anyone adding to a fleet should match what is already in service.
