This model carries 16 channels at 5 W on VHF. Motorola gives it a large channel knob so a user can change channel by feel, and a tricolor LED that shows radio status and battery level at a glance.

Battery save mode is what makes the runtime work in practice, and nuisance channel delete keeps a busy channel out of a scan list without reprogramming the radio. Repeater talkaround lets the fleet keep talking directly if the repeater is unavailable.
