Motorola PR400 Intrinsically Safe Two-Way Radio

The PR400 is Motorola's professional analog portable, and this is the intrinsically safe configuration. Intrinsically safe is not a feature, it is a condition of entry: a site handling flammable atmospheres will not allow a radio on the floor without it.

Motorola's specification sheet gives the higher channel models an 8 character alphanumeric display, which lets a channel be named rather than numbered. That matters on a trunked system where the number tells a user nothing about who is on the other end.

On LTR trunking the radio supports up to 4 sites and 16 talkgroups on the 16 channel model, rising to 10 sites and 100 talkgroups on the 32 and 64 channel models. Channel scan, nuisance channel delete and MDC1200 PTT ID encode are all listed against it.
