Motorola Wave TLK-100 Cellular 2 Way Radio

The Motorola TLK 100 is a screen-free WAVE PTX portable that combines familiar one-button radio operation with nationwide cellular and Wi-Fi push-to-talk. It can connect compatible TLK radios, smartphones and existing Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems without building a new radio network.

Who it is for

Motorola built the U.S. TLK 100 for rapid deployment over 4G LTE and Wi-Fi. Motorola's U.S. sheet lists 8 channels expandable to 96, a 300-contact list, Bluetooth 4.2 and BLE, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou, the OPUS voice codec and AES-256 encryption. Motorola has announced the end of life of the TLK 100 in North America and names the Motorola TLK 110 as its preferred replacement; existing TLK 100 WAVE PTX subscriptions continue.

• Protection: IP54 (IEC 60529); tested to MIL 810G methods for low pressure, high and low temperature, temperature shock, solar radiation, blowing rain and dust, immersion, vibration and shock.

Licence

Motorola says the TLK 100 requires no costly or time-consuming FCC or spectrum licensing, and no manual programming.
