Motorola CP100 Series
The Motorola CP100d is a business two-way radio sold in a range of configurations rather than as a single model. Radios in the series differ along four dimensions: frequency band (VHF 136–174 MHz or UHF 403–480 MHz), operating mode (analog or digital), channel capacity, and control head (non-display, limited keypad, or full keypad).
Band is not interchangeable. A VHF radio cannot communicate with a UHF radio, so the band must match the fleet the radio is joining. If you are adding to an existing fleet, match the band of the radios you already run.
Analog or digital. Analog models interoperate with older analog fleets. Digital models offer clearer audio at the edge of range and more efficient channel use, and can operate in analog mode alongside existing radios during a migration.
Control head. Non-display models are the simplest to hand to staff and the hardest to misconfigure. Limited-keypad and full-keypad models allow channel names, contact lists and text features to be used directly on the radio.
CMI Communications supplies and supports Motorola two-way radios for business, healthcare, warehousing, education and security customers. If you are unsure which configuration fits your site, contact us and we will specify it with you.
