The HKKN4025 is the CPS programming cable for Motorola's CLP Series, the link between a radio and the Customer Programming Software on a computer.
Motorola's CLP user guide states it directly, that the CPS programming cable is an accessory sold separately, and that is the sentence most buyers meet late. The software is free. The cable is not in the box, and without it a channel plan cannot be built at all.
