Who it is for

The RDV5100 is the VHF model of Motorola's RDX series of on-site business radios: a 5 watt, 10 channel portable with no display, on a heavy-duty metal diecast chassis, for staff working outdoors at the yard or indoors on the shop floor. Motorola gives it 27 business-exclusive VHF frequencies and 219 codes, including customized PL and DPL codes, wind-noise reduction, a 2000 mW speaker designed for noisy areas, voice channel announcement and a tricolor LED for calling and monitoring. With an accessory it adds hands-free voice activation and radio-to-radio cloning.
