This is a six-pack of Motorola RDU4160d radios, the largest model in the RDx range.

Motorola's own model table makes the gap clear. The RDV2080d and RDU2080d transmit 2 watts across 8 channels on a non-removable antenna. The RDU4160d transmits 4 watts across 16 channels and its antenna is REMOVABLE. Double the power, double the channels, and the one radio in the family whose antenna can be changed or replaced rather than written off with the radio.

Four watts is the specification that decides a large or obstructed site. Sixteen channels is what a multi-department operation needs before it starts running separate fleets.

Motorola supplies each RDx radio with an antenna, a spring action belt clip, a Lithium-Ion battery and a power supply, and the antenna is specifically noted for the RDU4160d because it is the model that has one to fit. Settings copy across the fleet from one configured radio through the RLN6309 multi-unit charger or the RLN6303 radio-to-radio cloning cable, which is worth knowing before programming six radios one at a time.
