Kenwood KHS-10 BH Heavy Duty Noise Reduction Headset

Kenwood's KHS-10 series is the heavy duty headset in the ProTalk accessory range, and the BH is the behind-the-head version with a noise-cancelling boom microphone.

Behind-the-head exists for one reason: a hard hat. The band passes behind the skull instead of over it, so the headset and the helmet do not compete for the same space, and the wearer does not have to choose between hearing the radio and meeting the site rule.

The noise-cancelling boom is what the radio on the other end hears. On a plant floor or a loading dock the microphone rejects the room so the voice carries, rather than sending both and leaving the listener to separate them.
