Kenwood KHS-31 C-Ring PTT Mic with Earhanger

The KHS-31C is a C-ring ear hanger with push-to-talk and microphone, listed in Kenwood's accessory chart alongside the D-ring KHS-27A.

C-ring and D-ring describe how the earpiece anchors to the ear. Neither is better in general and both exist because ears differ, so the sensible approach on a shared fleet is to stock both and let people pick rather than standardising on one and losing the people it does not suit.
