Kenwood KRA23 UHF Low Profile Helical Antenna (Pair)

These are Kenwood KRA-23 antennas, supplied as a pair. Kenwood's accessory chart lists the KRA-23 as a UHF helical antenna in the short type.

This is the UHF counterpart to the KRA-22, and the two are not interchangeable. Band is decided by the radio, so the part number follows the fleet rather than preference, and an antenna cut for the wrong band radiates less of the power the radio produces.

Short helical suits indoor and close-quarters work where a longer whip snags. Where reach matters more than profile, the KRA-27 whip is the UHF alternative in the same range. Supplied as a pair.
