Motorola CLP HKLN4455 Earpiece With Inline PTT and Mic

The HKLN4455 is a CLP Series earpiece on a single pin connector with an in-line push-to-talk, listed in Motorola's CLP accessory range as the short cord option.

Cord length is not a trivial choice on a worn radio. A standard cord assumes the radio sits at the waist, and where the CLP is carried higher, in a breast pocket or on a magnetic case, the surplus loops and snags and eventually pulls the earpiece out at the wrong moment. The short cord exists for that case.
