Motorola HKKN4027 Programming Cable CLS/CLP/RD/RM/DLR Series Radios

The HKKN4027 is Motorola's CPS programming cable: the link between a radio and the Customer Programming Software running on a computer. Motorola's RM Series user guide says it plainly, that the CPS programming cable HKKN4027 is an accessory sold separately, and that is the sentence most buyers find out about late. The software is free and runs in a browser. The cable is not in the box.

It is worth separating from the other cable in the range. The HKKN4027 connects a radio to a computer for programming. The HKKN4028 is the radio-to-radio cloning cable, which copies a finished configuration from one radio to another with no computer involved. A site that intends to build a channel plan once and push it to a fleet usually wants both: the HKKN4027 to create the profile and the HKKN4028 to spread it.
